Flydalsjuvet offers impressive views and is a good photo spot over Geiranger and the Geiranger Fjord.

No wonder this is one of the most used motifs when showing the beautiful nature in Norway to the rest of the world.

Flydalsjuvet is easily accessible by road no. 63, about four km from the center of Geiranger in the direction east towards Grotli.

The viewpoint has two plateaus, an upper and a lower one, with footpaths between. The viewpoint has been modernized through the “National Tourist Routes” project, and the new installations were officially opened with a celebration on 21 June 2006. Architect 3RW-Sixten Rahlff and landscape architect Arne Smedsvig have created the installations.

On the lower plateau you will also find the installation “Fjordsetet”, which was unveiled by Queen Sonja in September 2003 in connection with the 10th anniversary of the regional company Fjord Norge As.
