Qualifications

  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English is required for this position.
  • Vocational certificate in cleaning is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a housekeeping manager/cleaning supervisor or similar role.
  • Hotel experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
  • Develop and implement cleaning plans while ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Manage orders and inventory of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Prepare work schedules for all staff in the department in compliance with Norwegian labor laws.
  • Ensure all cleaning services adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Train and supervise staff within your department.
  • Recruit team members for your department.
  • Manage employee housing assignments.
  • Ensure your storage areas are stocked according to hotel needs throughout the season, and inspect and approve cleanouts during employee relocations.
  • Oversee the hotel’s entire staff uniform inventory.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other hotel departments and department heads.
  • Actively participate in management meetings.
