Important notice regarding a Data Security Incident

 
We would like to share information about a recent data security incident that may have affected some of our guests booking stay at Havila Hotel Raftevold using booking.com. We take the protection of your data seriously and want to be transparent about the incident, and the steps taken to address the situation.
July 11th 2024, unauthorized access to our booking.com portal was discovered due to a phishing attack. During the period of unauthorized access to the portal, phishing emails was sent to guests using this portal to book stay at the specific hotel. Unauthorized access to personal information in this incident may include name, phone number and information about past and upcoming stays. E-mail address in use for the distribution was an alias visible in the portal.

Guest booking directly on our own website are not affected by this incident, neither guest booing on the other havila hotels by using booking.com.

We launched an investigation and took steps to prevent further access. Further unauthorized access was prevented and information about ongoing phishing campaign was sent to users that could be affected by the incident. The incident was reported to the booking provider and the portal was closed down. We will continue working to identify the affected individuals and strengthen our security measures.
We recommend you to be extra vigilant against phishing and scams, especially requests to update payment information. As always online: Monitor your accounts for any suspicious activity and change your passwords if you suspect any unauthorized use of your accounts. If you suspect your information has been misused, please contact your booking provider.
